Upon seeing his outfit for Good Friday mass, Niño's mother demands he get new shoes. Niño, with no money to purchase them, heads out of the house and to his old friend, Dee, for advice on scoring a pair. When meeting up with his old friend, Dee gives Niño grief for going straight. Niño, knowing he has leukemia and is trying to turn his life around, knows better that to retort. However, Dee convinces him to go on one last job. What Niño doesn't know is that Dee plans to rob a narco house by pretending to be loan sharks. Upon arriving at the house, they come face to face with Remington, the son of the vast estate's owner. He claims that his father owes no money, which they soon find to be untrue after threatening Remington further. Moments later, though, they come face to face with the real loan sharks, and the kingpin of the Queens underworld: Big Brother. Though Big Brother thinks he lets the boys off with a warning, they have taken a brick of the cash to split amongst themselves, as Niño still needs a pair of shoes. Noticing, Big Brother tracks Niño down, who must rely on Dee to save him.
