Betty Jara, a former SENAD agent, now more experienced, works at the State Department as head of investigations for a crime-fighting unit. Sgt. Chamorro, the commando and former member of SENAD, works for her gathering information on the route that drug traffickers use to send drug loads from Paraguay to Europe. In compliance with that mission, Chamorro is caught and is held by the group of criminals he was spying on. Betty informs the Minister of the Interior about the disappearance of her agent and he leads her to Graciela Agüero, the new head of SENAD who provides her with help to find Chamorro. It is she who receives a call from the thugs who have kidnapped him and to whom they propose to negotiate to keep him alive: they want to make an exchange for a member of their own organization. Betty finds out that the criminal they must use as a bargaining chip is none other than Dante Moreira, the murderer of Sgt. Fariña, an old comrade of hers. Betty, then, receives the order to organize an undercover operation to free Dante, who is imprisoned in a penal institution. To carry out this operation, Betty and Captain Aldana have to meet again with the Yaguareté Commandos, who left the force after the retirement of Colonel Gutiérrez. The mission to rescue Chamorro is dangerous and becomes even more so when they realize that they are not only fighting against a network of drug traffickers, but also with corrupt officials who cover them up, revealing a network that reaches the highest spheres of power.
