Storyline:  After receiving a medical warning, Mathyas, a Canadian editor, decides to take a trip to the French Alps to reinvent himself as a sheep herder. Upon arrival, he meets Élise, a civil servant who joins him, and together they decide to spend the summer in the mountains, accompanied by a dog and many sheep. The film is adapted from the semi-autobiographical novel D'où viens-tu, berger? by Mathyas Lefebure, and realistically portrays pastoral life while capturing the beauty of the landscape.
