Yuta Okkotsu's life was cursed from an early age, as he was haunted by the spirit of his childhood friend who died in a terrible accident and would protect him in the guise of a horrible monster. This caught the attention of Satoru Gojo, a powerful sorcerer from the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, who eventually brought Yuta to be cared for and to teach him how to control his powers for the greater good.
