Maria Elisabete Jorge, known as "Bete do Peso", was the first weightlifter to defend Brazil in an Olympics. This sport, which has been present at the Olympic Games since the beginning of competitions in the Modern Era, only included women's participation in 2000. Disseminating this sport little recognized in the country and rescuing the history of this Brazilian of humble origin, who arrived in Sydney at 43 and used sport to overcome social boundaries, is the proposal of this documentary.
