The match that revolutionized Brazilian volleyball and made the country become a power in the sport. As the unexpected defeat of the Brazilian male volleyball team in the final of the 1984 Olympics changed the structures of the sport in the country and resulted in the success of the teams since the 1990s, with four golds, two silvers and two bronzes since then.
