Jack's Big Idea (2020)

Jack has always gotten exactly what he wants. Always. Only now, during his senior year, he finds out that he can't always get what he wants. The story begins with Jack spearheading the idea for the drama club to put on a musical. When he is told that he will not be allowed to be head writer, Jack realizes that his rein, though long, has always been temporary. Having been cast out of his usual role as head writer for the club, he decides to audition for the next best thing: the lead role in the musical. Jack gets the lead role, but is quickly replaced by a freshman with real talent. This sends Jack over the edge; his whole world is flipped upside down. As a result of all this change and anger, a new character, who embodies all of Jack's inner demons and jealousies, appears. This surprise character pushes Jack to get his role back by any means necessary. As the rest of the club struggles to put on the musical, Jack does everything he can to get what he wants. Through deceit and just a little sabotage, Jack wins back the role, but will there still be a musical for him to perform in?
