"Flickan Flaskan Fosterlandet" ("The Girl, The Bottle and the Motherland") is a documentary film ( 59 min.) about Lund's student choir singers (LSS) and about the world of music and traditions associated with the choir. It is also a film about masculinity, modernity, and the city of Lund. Through reality and a dream, through in-depth interviews and surrealist-realistic images of LSS and Lund, we open the door to a poetic world of Nordic music. It is a documentary about music and the healing power of music; about the music's potential to slow downtime. Music evokes memories and acts as a bridge between the future and the past. The film was fully funded by Swedish National Television (SVT).
