A weary hitman and his psychopathic partner are on a job, looking for their target in a remote Scottish landscape. Things between the two of them feel tense, so they decide to split up. The hitman finds their target, but things don't go according to plan. He is forced to sit down and talk to him face to face. His philosophy on life is challenged as he begins to see the target not just as a faceless object he has to take care of, but as an innocent, young man with a life and a potential future. He must decide where his loyalties lie. Will he choose the easy option and continue down the self-destructive path he is on and help his partner to kill their target? Or will he reach for one last chance at redemption by letting the target go?
