Black Battery Gang (1997)

In. the late Sixties in Liverpool, UK, the Black Battery Gang was formed in Toxteth. The documentary presents with interviews with those involved at the time (and now as adults) the real reasons behind the creation of the 'gang.' What began as a case of frustration and disgruntlement for black male and female teenagers as they were refused access to city centre night clubs turned into an organised force who stood up to overt racism.
