Ghadames, the Pearl of Sahara (2002)

Founded 4,000 years ago, Ghadames was called the Pearl of Sahara by the Italians who occupied Libya from 1928 to 1943. Then, the town went under the military control of the French till 1951, the year of the independence of Libya.
