The Dumpling King (2020)

It is about a Chinese fisher and cook who goes fishing with his boat on weekends at Santa Barbara Habor and owns a dumpling restaurant in Isla Vista, CA. Zizheng is inspired by the feeling of home and the feeling of loneliness of Wang when he first visits the restaurant and has the fish dumplings there. He wishes to use this film to show the life of Chinese immigrant people as well as the issue of identity. This film is written, directed, produced, and edited by Zizheng (Boris) Liu and co-produced by Ruishan (Tracy) Shen. Jinze Li is the director of photographer and Brian Morones is the sound supervisor.
