DIRTY SUNDAY is the performance of the Mexican identity imbalance represented in a Sunday feast. The metaphor is plain and simple: Sunday is the day of the tianguis (the Nahuatl word "tianquiztli" for market) par excellence. On that day, every Mexican, without distinction, wanders among the stalls of the nearest market to have late breakfast. It is an indulgent date full of licenses: more lipids, more sugar, and more hotness. There is a tangible eroticism in gastronomy that is commonly overlooked: the instinct for flesh and hunger are inextricably intertwined.
