Cachexia (2021)

A group of history students agrees to participate in a scientific experiment. In order to reveal the topic of Hunger in the Volga region in a new way, a postgraduate teacher asks them to spend 2 weeks without food in a closed basement. The whole process is broadcast live. On the day of the end of the experiment, no one releases students. Fasting causes physiological and psychological deviations in them. The characters are immersed in the events of the Hunger of 1921 and cease to distinguish reality from hallucinations. Students have less and less time to save themselves, and it is unknown whether they will be able to escape from prison before they are paralyzed by Cachexia.
