Terminal follows the story of a girl named Nora who begins the film sealing an envelope while contemplating facing a grave decision. Before she can follow through with it, she is unexpectedly sent to a parallel world. She awakes bewildered with her surroundings and finds herself in a house that brings her a confused, yet familiar feeling. While she explores, she finds photos of herself and memories that she has yet to make. Buried in these memories is an award-winning film script from twenty years in the future, with her own name written on across the front. She eventually stumbles across a bedroom in which she finds an old woman whom she does not recognize, but who recognizes her. This woman is Nora from another world. Nora is facing a frail version of herself that has been through years of family, success, and hardship. The two have an insightful conversation that teaches young Nora the value of balancing her priorities, as she draws parallels between the past and the potential future. Nora finds comfort in the old woman who assures her that although she may seem lost, there is a future waiting for her that she does not expect, but is meant to be all along. Nora wakes up on the beach, surrounded by bodies on the sands. These are different versions of herself that decided against the advice of Old Nora. When Nora gets back to her car, she opens up the envelope she previously sealed and it is revealed to be the award-winning script from the future.
