The Rage of Jesus (2021)

After being abandoned by their mother, siblings Dirt and Jody spend their days alongside their alcoholic father, Cameron. Leigh, their mother, left due to Cameron's abuse, in which the brothers, with clouded judgment, decide that getting her back requires them to get rid of their wastrel father. Early one morning, the brothers sneak out to their refuge where it is revealed that their backpack contains their father's gun - it' here they've spent their days preparing. We flashback to the brothers at home; Cameron arrives in search of his gun, and after denying involvement, the boys are forced to weather the storm of their father's rage. Back at the refuge; the brothers deal with the anxiety of the task at hand, attempting to come to terms with their duty to honor their mother by taking their father's life. We return to Cameron as he ransacks the house in search of the revolver - his temperament turns toward Dirt after coming up short, in which verbal abuse becomes physical. With the gun in hand and tension rising, the brothers show union in that to pull their family from their father's control; they must achieve what they have set off to do.
