Ghost Light (2021)

Opening on the eve of 3/15/20, a Theatre Ghost watches a Stagehand finish up a load out for the evening. The Stagehand, seeming melancholy, almost forgets to leave the ghost light out. After a quick correction, she leaves the light out and takes one last look at her theatre, for she knows it will be the last time she sees it for a while. The Ghost looks on, puzzled. We see a year go by as the Theatre Ghost tries to understand why audiences have stopped coming. We see her try to deal with her loneliness and boredom as she tries to keep herself entertained. The ghost light being her only companion, is there with her through it all. Until one day when the bulb dies. The Theatre Ghost is left completely alone. All the emotions of abandonment swell within her until she lets out a scream of frustration. To her surprise, the ghost light comes back on. She discovers she has the power to turn on all the stage lights around her. Ecstatic with this discovery she decides to put on her own show. She creates a light and dance show all for herself. Until it is interrupted by the Stagehand returning. The Theatre Ghost watches on as the Stagehand gets ready to reopen the theatre, a year later.
