Sergeant Barry Clark, British Army, is a man with a past. He is a cold blooded killer who has PTSD for killing one man in the Bosnian war, Falsely accused of war crimes while serving with the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in Bosnia, he is demoted from Lieutenant to Sergeant. Recalled to Military Intelligence, he is sent undercover to infiltrate and destroy the organisation of John Masterson, the Kingpin of the largest organised crime cartel in Scotland, whose evil influence extends to all aspects of society. For Masterson has a high ranking police officer on his payroll. As Clark becomes a trusted confidant of the ruthless crime boss, he realises he is walking a tightrope above a lion's den, as he knows it is only a matter of time before Masterson and his gang of dangerous gunmen find out they have been infiltrated. As his stress factors soar to critical mass as bullets fly and bombs erupt, Clark must escape with his life, and his sanity, intact.
