All cities have historic districts, however, they are also confronted with the intense development brought by massive shopping malls built on their outskirts. A few shopkeepers in the city of Bastia, located on Corsica, seem bound to disappear yet resist and express their feelings, enthusiasm and concerns about a society that is losing its bearings.
