Rap Ich Maaya (2020)

Rap Ich Maaya is a short film of the workshop taught by Jesus Pat Chable alias Pat Boy, for children from the Itzincab community, Yucatan. Funded by the Ministry of Culture of Mexico and produced by Digital Riots. We follow Pat Boy teaching process for two weeks, capturing the enthusiasm of children as they learned the flow of rap and the Mayan language. To collect their opinions of what it was like to be part of Tiempo Para Juglar a project that, through workshops, brings girls, boys and adolescents closer to the world of language, oral word, song and poetry with the use of lyrical expressions and musicals like son jarocho, son istmenno, son huasteco, huapango arribenno, pirekua, rap and corrido. The workshops have been taught by leading teachers of the word during 2019 and were published in 2020.
