In the deep southwest of Sydney, Layla is preparing for an audition that determines the rest of her life. Engulfed in self-doubt stemming from both her arrogant subconscious and discriminatory surroundings, she is turned away from the opportunity of a lifetime for wearing a hijab. Through Layla, we explore the story of people of colour living in a western world, but more importantly, this is a story about self-love, identity, and overcoming our personal struggles.
