"The prettiest smiles hide the deepest secrets...The prettiest eyes have cried the most tears, and the kindest hearts have felt the most pain." -Unknown Stephanie seemed to have everything a girl could want: good looks, a loving boyfriend, loyal friends, a fantastic family, and a bright future ahead of her. At least, that's how her friends see her life. It isn't until she suddenly commits suicide and discovers Stephanie's notebooks that they realize how far she had fallen into depression. Her notes revisit the everyday events of her life through the perspective of her depression and self-doubt. Good grades become not good enough. Kind comments from loved ones become snide remarks. Her reflection is filled with flaws. Stephanie's story is a testament to how depression can affect anyone no matter how great their lives may seem on the outside and how the loved ones of those affected often won't see anything amiss until it is too late.
