Documentary charting every stage of the restoration and reconstruction of the organ of King's College, Cambridge. The organ, built in 1934, has reached the point where it cannot be played for much longer. The organ-building firm Harrison and Harrison of Durham is called in to remove the organ from its home in the magnificent college chapel in Cambridge to their works in Durham, restore every aspect of the instruments pipes, bellows, wind chests and action, and return it to the chapel, all in time for the next international broadcast of the Service of Nine Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve.
