Martha Baxter, accomplished publisher and full time mom at the same time, tries to get her family to make it through a portrait appointment while negotiating her marriage. Howard, her husband has a broken leg and complains non stop, the daughter Ann shows up late with a big hickey on her neck and her son Jake is perpetually glued to the screen of his console - Happy Christmas.
