In Wisconsin a 15-year-old preppy girl finds out she is pregnant; what will become of her and the world in which she lives? 25 years later the world has changed completely, and our 40-year-old protagonist is a suicidal NYC hot shot attorney whose life is in turmoil. Having an affair with a married man and about to lose her law license, her court appointed attorney sends her home to Wisconsin to her conservative family in order to examine the roots of her psychological struggles.
