The Hunteress (2023)

EMILIA, 40, and her son MATEO, 17, have survived a planetary health catastrophe. To subsist, they hunt rabbits in the mountains which they consume and exchange for other goods. One day - while both are checking a set of traps they have deployed on a hillside - they are surprised when they discover that someone is trying to steal their jeep. In a quick maneuver, Emilia stops the vehicle with a shot. From it emerges RENA, 30, a mysterious woman who was trying to cross to Argentina. Her appearance will expose the fragile balance in the relationship between mother and son and will awaken a series of feelings in the trio, which seemed to have been lost due to the loneliness and precariousness of their lives. The tension, which will increase during the voyage, will precipitate a surprising ending when Emilia discovers that Rena has lied to them.
