La riviere (2022)

La Rivière is a 28 minute documentary on the relationship between residents and Milles-Iles River; once considered as one of the most polluted rivers in Quebec. The movie follows three main characters: a young fisherman/you-tuber, a waterfront couple and a seasoned ecology activist. With intertwining stories, we discover how their relationship with the river evolved: first encounter, challenges, affection and care. In parallel, the movie presents the rich history and biodiversity of the river. Through the seasons, La Rivière offers a unique and very human perspective on a river that has been overlooked for too long, like so many other urban rivers.
