Following directly on from Subconscious 2: Socially Distanced, and officially connecting to the rest of the Larter Productions films, the final installment in the Subconscious films picks up where Subconscious 2 finishes, and we find out what exactly happened between Will (Harry Larter) and Amy (Mia Carter) after the cliffhanger. Will is talking to his best friend, Jack (Ben Houghton), on the phone explaining that Amy wanted to be friends but he declined her and said it was awkward. However, this conversation is cut short when Jack is hit by a car and Will is told over the phone by a lady (Christine Larter) that he is dead. Will sprints to the scene but is stopped from getting to close by his friend Dan (Devon Ingram). Stricken with grief, Will's body shuts down and goes into a coma; thrusting Subconscious out of Will's head, and into the open world, completely alone. He finds himself standing in front of Amy's Subconscious (also played by Mia Carter) and she explains that Will is in a coma and using his dreams as defence blockers. Subconscious asks for her help but she refuses so he leaves, but not before she can leave him with a warning, "The Creator is looking for you...". Subconscious then attempts to enlist the help of Will's friend James (James Askew) and after a brief conversation with James' Subconscious, he refuses to help, leaving Subconscious still alone. He then finds Dan and speaks to his Subconscious, and gets him to agree to help. The two Subconscious' embark on a mission which entails the two of them to travel into Will's head, and into each of Will's dreams. Subconscious comes up with the idea that if they can stop the plot of each dream from happening, it will force Will out of the coma. They travel through and interact with the characters from Persuasion, Anything, Time and Error, Like Father Like Son, Late, Silence and Drive (this scene was shown at the end of Drive). With a few hiccups along the way (including Subconscious meeting The Flash and Doctor Who), they finally make it to Will, and Subconscious takes the form of Jack so he can have one last conversation with him. This then breaks Will out of the coma, and he comes face to face with Amy who is sitting beside his bed. This is where Amy explains to Will that his girlfriend, Hannah (not shown in this film but previously played by Cara Crowley), has disappeared and left Will. Not only dealing with grief but now heartbreak again, he attends Jack's funeral with Amy. Two weeks later Subconscious finally shows his face to Will again, who is still reeling from the events of the film. Things then go from bad to worse when The Creator shows up and explains that Subconscious has broken the sacred Subconscious Code, and thus has to be removed from Will's head and replaced with a new Subconscious, stripping Will of the memories that he has of Subconscious. Will hates the idea of it but Subconscious goes willingly. The Creator let's Subconscious then say goodbye to the other Subconscious', some the audience have seen before and others are new. Then we get a glimpse of the future, forty years in the future. We see an older Will (David Larter) looking through a box of photos that include a photo of him and Jack, and this is when Subconscious appears behind him and speaks the words "hello old friend", bringing the film and the saga to a close.
