El Gato Feo (2023)

Set in 1914 Mexico, "El Gato Feo" is a Spanish language short film about two estranged sisters on opposite sides of the Mexican Revolution. On the run from Pancho Villa's Army, Luisa encounters Adelita, the leader of a small, military unit of women, who must decide if she will help her sister cross the Rio Grande River into Texas. As Luisa bonds with the other soldiers in her sister's unit, Adelita tells a story to embarrass Luisa -- a story about a giant cat known as el Gato Feo.
