Michael seeks help at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. He tells the group of a shocking story that he has seen on the news. The Session Host deduces that the reason this story bothers him is because it involves the abuse of a child - Michael is very close to his young niece. Michael plays in the park with his niece, Ashley. There he meets a girl his age who is looking after her younger sister. The girl is clearly hitting on him, however, Michael seems distracted. Back in the AA meeting, Michael is questioned about how his loneliness could have been helped by pursuing a relationship with this girl, Michael seems unconvinced. Michael sits in his living room with Liam, his brother in law - Liam sips his beer. Sarah, Michael's sister enters and yells at Liam for drinking in front of Michael. Back in the AA meeting Michael begins to break down. Flash back to Michael standing on a bridge, his sister coaxing him away from the railing. Back in the AA meeting, Michael confesses his lack of attraction to men or women - he storms out the meeting. Sarah returns home in tears where she is greeted by Liam with open arms. Through the window we oversee Sarah telling her husband something, he is enraged. Back on the bridge, Michael contemplates everything. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a photo of his family, he decides to return home to explain himself. As he walks through the door Liam meets him in the hall. Liam beats Michael to the floor.
