Rob's wife has just passed away, but he doesn't afford himself the opportunity to grieve - his daughters have just lost their mother, after all. He needs to stay strong with them - for them. But when Parker, his oldest daughter, has her first period, he's further thrown into unfamiliar territory. Now that they're forced into this bleaker reality sans-the mother/wife - can they manage? This is a story of familial intimacy meant to both de-stigmatize periods as well as male vulnerability - both are human attributes and just a part of the human experience. Both need to be normalized on screen and this project is one of the first steps in normalizing these human experiences. A story about vulnerability and family. Moose Tracks is unique in that it uplifts an uncommon narrative in father-daughter relationships. With a Black family at the heart of it, it further explores these themes with intimate, often unexplored glimpses into POC-family catharsis. Ultimately, Moose Tracks authentically and effectively communicates the idea that by embracing our pain and healing fully, light will come back into our life.
