Walaac (2022)

Yousef is a refugee who just got a studio apartment in an old house. Skyping home, he learns that his mother is sick, then the connection cuts off. The first night, Yousef gets a package delivered to his door. It's a framed photograph of the room he lives in. Everything is the same, except the photograph on the wall at the end of his bed with a strange baroque wallpaper, has a door that's not there now. Yousef gets more and more obsessed with the photograph and the mystery. Soon he suspects that something is watching him. Yousef loses himself in his paranoia, ignoring his current situation and his mother's sickness as he slowly loses sanity.
