Bagas Mahardika and Ajeng Larasati have known each other since the first day of orientation for new students at the Faculty of Economics and Business at UNS, Solo. Love grows between them. But for six semesters, both of them harbor feelings. Bagas never dare to confess his love because Ajeng is a rich, beautiful, popular, and noble girl, different from his being the only child of a small farmer. Ajeng can only dare to give the sign. They are both suddenly desperate. RM Cokrodiningrat and Rahayu, Ajeng's parents, introduce Ajeng to Satrio. The Cokrodiningrat family is also close to the Satrio family. Bagas and Ajeng finally get the courage to talk heart to heart and confess their feelings to each other. Bagas musters all the courage to meet Mr. Cokro and Mrs. Rahayu to introduce himself as Ajeng's lover. Both are against the relationship. Bagas makes a promise of love to Ajeng in front of her parents. He will prove himself worthy as a prospective son-in-law. Ajeng's best friend, Rere, offers to work at her coffee shop. Bagas' hard work makes Rere raise Bagas to become a manager at the coffee shop. However, the relationship between Bagas and Ajeng cracks because Bagas discovers that the coffee shop is Ajeng's, not Rere's.
