Out of the Forest (2019)

Weird and unusual deaths are occurring increasingly frequent and all around the country. When a university professor is found murdered in her home, the detective boyfriend begins to investigate to find who is responsible. Peter Williams, a currently drunk detective, is pulled into the supernatural world. Trying to only follow the evidence, he soon begins to think he is losing his mind. As it keeps bringing him to an unrealistic conclusion. Eventually coming to terms with the truth, he begins to look for those who would believe him. Finding out that his friends and co- workers question his sanity and sobriety, he goes out to prove the validity of his findings. The detective finds himself, in the middle of no where, standing at the edge of the forest while witnessing the impossible shadows of the wendigos emerging from the forest.
