Manuel Puig (1932 - 1990) was one of the main and most controversial figures of the national narrative. Questioned at home in Argentina, a transgressor, devotee of the cross between the popular and the cultured scene, lover of cinema and a passionate about literature. "Kiss of the Spider Woman" first published as a novel in 1976, a play in 1983, filmed in 1985 and a musical in 1992.
