City of Shells (2020)

A short supernatural thriller in which a woman's disappearance sets off a series of strange events. In a vision, a man gifted with otherworldly sight becomes aware of a powerful force that has been operating among the human world and manipulating it for its own purposes. City of Shells visually imagines how this force might be somehow connected to the city's changing landscape, and what its intentions are. Set among the booming development of an east coast U.S. city and its decaying architecture, the characters of the film are caught in a struggle between different entities that have become the inhabitants of these old and new shells.
