Tim Pittman is a contradiction. A former drug dealer, addict, and convict, he may be the last person you'd expect trying to save the lives of people who don't seem to want to live. With a perplexing surface image, Tim, like the souls he rescues are all easy to discount. Is there not something redeemable beneath their rough exteriors? Terminal City is a documentary trying to understand who people really are. How complex can a real-life hero's past be? What really goes on in the minds of people caught in the throes of addiction and poverty? We ask questions about atonement, forgiveness and the stigma of criminality and addiction. How far down the rabbit hole can a person go and still come back? Can people change? What role can the rest of us play in such a transformation?
