With $500 to his name, a desire to earn enough money to eat, and a passion to reach students through rock and rap, teacher Steven Langlois became an accidental Rockstar. With his signature sense of discovery, filmmaker Nicholas Allaire sets out to explore the life and career of teacher and iconic musician Étienne. In doing so, he learns about the road-markers that only in retrospect clearly guided Steven Langlois from writing catchy songs for students in his classroom to performing sold-out concerts in theaters and arenas to fans worldwide. In order to arrive at a possible explanation, Nicholas Allaire takes on the task of interviewing dozens of teachers, consultants, educational influencers and fans from across Canada, the United States (New Zealand) and Australia. Furthermore, he seeks to investigate how the two-time Canada's Artist of the Year winner, once dubbed "The Eminem of Children's music," could have impacted so many lives and touched the careers of artists like Justin Bieber and Joey Muha.
