From all time Norway has been a place of land, water and man. But here like anywhere else, times and gold do change colors. In the deep valleys of the south and across the white plains of the Great North, we embark on a journey through time, memories and dreams. Viking chief Georg Hansen, farmer Laila Kvellestad, Sami artist Máret Ánne Sara, reindeer herder Jovsset Ante Sara, silversmith Regina Juhls and other guardians share their cultural heritage stories and struggles and try to keep the breath of knowledge and rural life alive. A story of man's migrations and everlasting aptitude to inhabit impossible territories of rocks, water and ice. Their words may sound different but their feeling remains the same: the world is here.
