261 chronicles the pioneering and inspirational personal journey of a fearless female marathon runner in a male-dominated sport. In 1967, Kathrine Switzer was the first woman to officially enter and run the Boston Marathon. During the race, Ms. Switzer was physically attacked by one of the male organizers, attempting to forcibly remove her from the marathon for being a woman. Ms. Switzer famously fought through and finished the race. The photo of the attack became one of Time-Life's "100 Photos That Changed the World."
