Jackson's Island (2020)

A dark (but sometimes humorous) take on "Tom Sawyer." In this version, Tom, Huck and Joe, eager for adventure and a different kind of life, run off to Jackson's Island, hoping to escape their worries (and, in Tom and Huck's case, evade the murderous Injun Joe). But what begins as a vacation from conformity unexpectedly turns into an odyssey of self-discovery as the three confront their pasts, face their current problems and try to chart their uncertain futures.
