Gurraju was a poor farmer from one of the remote villages of drought stricken Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh, South India. Due to perennial drought and financial need to bring up his family, he reluctantly turns to work for local small time politicians to kill targets for petty amounts. Gurraju thus turned to become a contract killer for livelihood, kills anyone for money as long as he is paid for the assignment. On one such missions, his 8yr old daughter and wife get killed. It is a revenge reward for what Gurraju had accomplished a week ago. 6 months later after his family was killed, Gurraju, desperate to know his daughter's killer, embarks on a journey. The turn of events during his journey forms the story. Shot in the backdrop of rain shadow drought region of Rayalaseema, a southern state in India, lyrics express the pain of farmers in dire conditions.
