Nudo Mixteco (2021)

During the patron saint festival of San Mateo there are three intertwined stories. María returns to bury her mother, her father confronts her and runs from the wake, in uncertainty and pain, she proposes to Piedad, her childhood sweetheart whom she recently met again to go with her to Mexico City. Esteban returns after three years and finds that, in his absence, Chabela, his wife, is with another man and decides to put her on trial before the Community Assembly. For her part, Toña relives her own pain at the abuse she was a victim of in the past and now it is the reality that her daughter lives, to protect her she will have to face her family. Stories that intersect in a town of the Oaxaca Mixteca.
