Preface to a History (2019)

A thirty-something couple on vacation; Vlad, on extended leave from work, wanders the island's vistas and listens to an audiobook about the rise of the Third Reich. Meanwhile, his partner Meredith does on-site work as an architect, consulting with clients and hurriedly taking measurements as rain threatens to interfere. Each night, in their rented cabin, they confront an oft-delayed conversation about their shared future. Soon, they will have to end their silence, find a vision for life together, and stop searching for purpose in distractions.
