Sally, an American teacher, receives an urgent email regarding her grandparents' estate in Japan. Leaving her Japanese mother, who suffers from dementia, Sally arrives in Osaka. The caretaker Mariko is missing, and Sally is forced to care for her baby daughter. Sally struggles to solve a murder mystery, care for a child, and daily navigate this foreign culture. Oh, and it seems the house is haunted.
