By the Time it Gets Dark (2019)

They're a couple of young twenty-somethings struggling through the tumultuous aspects of early adulthood: financial instability, personal independence, mental illness, existential quandaries. Alex is a college dropout, working at a diner to pay her bills; Darby is a full-time student. Both come from dysfunctional homes and both walk the edge of poor, self-destructive decisions. After Alex gets pregnant and subsequently has an abortion, the already rickety foundation of the relationship crumbles. Darby and Alex must confront the realities of what it means to love, to be a parent, and to mature as a person.
