DEKAdance from Dresden / East Germany was a real phenomenon that brought its own 'subversive' culture to the GDR with its music and wit. Just when they were on the verge of becoming national heroes, the Wall fell. No one in West Germany had heard of this band. Nobody knew about the culture on the other side of the wall - a culture that was not only concerned with reunification. A young, different culture, with its own scene, artists, jokes and spirit. In the hurry of reunification, you could quickly forget that. DEKAdance has continued. The band is still a living testimony of this other German, exotic culture. The band 'Rammstein' and the well-known German comedian Olaf Schubert, by then her twin sister: Gabi Schubert and drummer - were part of the band's history and so of the movie.
