Calf Rope (2020)

Loosely based on the childhood memories of director, Bradley Hawkins, Calf Rope focuses on the intense bond that grandparents often have with their grandchildren, and the heartwarming legacies that often live on, long after they have gone. Calf Rope tells the tale of a former rodeo champion and semi-retired cattle auctioneer from Oklahoma who bonds tightly with his young grandson from Pennsylvania during the summer of '66 while teaching him a few tricks from his previous trades. The short film was shot entirely in the south-central region of Pennsylvania.
