Gritty (2019)

After his release from prison Curtis Manning still has all the symptoms and characteristics of an inmate of the prison system. As much as he wants to escape the mental torture of constantly being reminded of his prison life, he cannot escape long enough not to assimilate the same characteristics and actions as he had while in prison. In addition to not being properly rehabilitated he is also scarred from witnessing and participating in the nefarious actions of the gang which he had to join to survive. He sums up his entire time in prison as "Gritty"
