Wearing Alain Mikli's Resort 19 Eyewear Collection, models including Lindsey Wixson and Louis Baines, feature in Morgane Polanski's eclectic film, following 8 strangers who are unusually bound together in an East end Laundrette. Polanski said of the film, "'L'Habit ne fait pas le Moine' is a French expression meaning 'Nothing is what it seems'. The central message of this project is: Never judge a book by its cover. We wanted to unite eight complete strangers; all completely different and eccentric characters in their own right. We meet them in a launderette; an enclosed and liminal space, where unlikely characters collide. We wanted to follow the silent interactions between these people who, in their regular lives, would never have looked twice at each other before. I've always been fascinated by the silent, inner monologue of people waiting in a public place. It's fascinating the way that everyone critiques each other just by what they see. As a culture and society, we're so willing to pass such powerful judgments on people - but there is far more to each of us than meets the eye."
